You can travel to Guaymas- San Carlos from any place in the world.

By air, on a commercial flight, the International Air-port of Guaymas recieves US AIRWAYS daily flights from Phoenix, Arizona; and the airports of Cd. Obregon and Hermosillo, only 75 miles away by car, are connected with the whole world through 7 airlines that fly direct from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Guadalajara, Mexico City and others. Aereo  Servicio Guerrero offers flights directly to Loreto, Guerrero Negro and other cities of (BAJA) Baja California Sur and Aereo Calafia flies to La Paz Baja California Sur.
By highway, Guayma is connected through the International Highway Mex. 15, to the North, (280 miles to Nogales USA border line) across the border, with the entire network of US federal highways (1-19 and 1-1-10) in the United States, and to the South, along the entire Mexican Pacific coast, with the Sinaloa and central Mexico (Mex15).
The highways that connect Guaymas- San Carlos with Eastern Mexico, are the mountain routes from Hermosillo to the city of Chihuahua or the Imuris-Cananea-Janos road which is frecuently travelled by resident of Chihuahua, Cd. Juarez and the states of New Mexico and Taxes to get to the sea.

Regarding marine transport for cargo and passangers, a ferry communicates the port of Guaymas with Santa Rosalia, Baja California, and has a large cargo capacity so that the passangers can also take their automobiles across.
Guaymas is Cruise Destination and is squeduled by Holland America and Azamara Journey lines.
