Cholla Mall (Rodeo Drive)

Cholla Mall (Rodeo Drive)

I would like to tell you a little about Cholla Mall also known as Rodeo Drive. Cholla mall is a section in between Ave. Constitucion and the new Expo center. Do you remember the old dirt road that many tourist and locals would use to commute back and forth to JJ’s and Cholla Bay? The street is called Revolucion. downloadThis was a popular transit street before they paved the winding road to Sandy Beach and Ave Plutarco. This is the big divided road around the Sonoran Sky, Puerta Privada and also Las Palomas Resort. All along ave Revolucion, in between Ave constitucion and the Expo Center is Rodeo Drive. Rodeo Drive was a regular stop for visitors, it was on the way to JJ’s and Cholla Mall so visitors would stop frequently to buy and admire great craftmenship through out all the shops located in this area. For you new folks to Rocky Point you may not know about Rodeo Drive, I just want to let you know that there are some valuable assets amongst the shops here that you may not know about. You can find basket makers, potters shell collectors, leather makers and sellers that specialize in glass designing. There is also a liquor store (Tecate) at the corner right next to the train tracks and a Pharmacy. There is so much to choose from here and the prizes are really fair. You don’t have the typical aggressive sellers here at Cholla Mall, as you will find at the Old Port. Don’t forget to stop by Cholla Mall and pick up your souvenir, you will be glad you did.
