“Beach Bumz” are Always Welcome in Rocky Point

We would like to invite all you “Beach Bumz” to Rocky Point Mexico. If you have a strong desire to sit back and relax, with a beautiful view of the ocean, have a drink, and do nothing for about 48 hours, then Rocky Point is the perfect place for you. Rocky Point has several areas that people like to visit, depending on what you want to do, or “not do”, on any given day. Rocky Point has 2 main beach areas known to most as the Sandy Beach and Rocky Beach. The only real difference is the amount of rocks around the beach area. The Sandy Beach is miles of sand with a few small rocky areas, which makes ideal for swimming and having fun. The Rocky Beach is also a good streach of sandy beach, but you will find more black rocks in this area, which makes it a great place to go snorkeling. Both areas also have some fun tide pools that fill up during high tide, then trap the little ocean creatures in the tide pool until the next high tide. You can find fish, small crabs, octopus, and more! Here are some photos of the Rocky Beach, which is the area between Manny’s Beach Club and the Granada Del Mar Hotel/Sammy’s Bar.

Now let’s visit the Sandy Beach. Remember again, this is one of the beaches with a few rocky areas, but more sand than rock. Swim and have fun!

Their are several other areas that people like to visit. One area is called Tucson Beach, which is located in Cholla Bay. (We will get some better photos ASAP). Tucson Beach is smaller than Sandy Beach, and it has a lot more big rocks in the area. Pelican Point is the rocky tip just to the left of Tucson Beach. This a perfect place to snorkel when the water is right.

Another area is in Las Conchas. Las Conchas has miles of sandy beach, with little or no rocks at all. Another great beach for swimming and playing all day!
