450 packets of school supplies delivered to children if limited means

With the presentation to children of limited means of 450 packets of support, including 350 packets of school supplies and 100 backpacks the 2008 “Super Notebook” campaign came to close.

Despite the intense heath, happy faces could be seen on the more tha 300 young Peñasco community members who received benefits from the collection done through the Municipal Youth Institute, with the support of students from the Superior Technological Institute of Puerto Peñasco.

In an agile manner, the young students who had collected the school supplies presented them outside of the Municipal office to the young ones who had been selected by their respective schools.

Indalecio Peñuelas Inzunza, director of the Municipal Youth Institute, reported that a letter was sent to nearly 20 elementary schools so that each school could select 15 students, from among the most needy, to participate in the support.

He thanked the students from the Tech for their interest in helping and assisting with the Youth Institute in carrying out the work. She added that on this occasion they also received tremendous support from the commercial sector, which joined the 2nd year of the “Super Notebook” program.

He was confident that this effort, although modest, will serve to help children develop in life and attain their objectives.

Peñuelas Inzunza reiterate that thanks to the work of a group of young students from the Superior Technological Institute of Puerto Peñasco, it was possible to achieve this valuable support for young students in need.

He remarked they were able to put together 350 educational packets that include 2 notebooks, crayons, 2 pens, 2 pencils, an eraser, pencil sharpener and other school supplies, and also collected 100 backpacks.
